Remember I have an open beta account only, I dont think u can download from funcom just yet with one of those. Either that or I dont see where.

After you type in your usewr name and password, u r dircted to the
Master account information.

Look to the right of it. there is this box
Beta: Getting Started
Welcome to the Age of Conan Beta.

Now that you have registered and created your account a forum account will be set up for you using the same username and password.

The setup of your forum account may take up to 30 minutes and if you wish to change your name for the forums you can via change forum details

Beta Download
The download is 13GB and requires 30GB of disk space to install.

Download and start the Download Manager to download the client.

If I log from here https://register.funcom.com/account/ my account doesntn exist

I have to log from here https://betaregister.ageofconan.com/account/information/data and where it says my subscriptions Im only flagged for open beta and this is all it says there

Doesnt point u anywhere to download or anything, but thanks bro that link works to get the patcher and doesnt ask to log in or anything.

Yeah man, i dont know what is going on then, I know i used that link, and it took me like 10 hrs to dl it,. keep it running and take a nap. There is also 4 updates from that point once u load in.

When u go there to regsiter a account... Down on the bottom left sscreen After u log in, here let me get a screen for you:)

So u log in, Now if u cant log in atm, u need to look down in the lower left corner, there is a place u can use your beta key! Use it there! to get your account going. But shouldnt have too.

Now this next image, if u logged in successfully, will show u the master account.

Now u see where i have the the Red X! That is where u need to use your beta key! and it will let you make another account within your main accouunt .
I have 2 accounts, reason being Tech beta and general beta.

Yah see I dont get that on the right side of the screen about Beta. I had done everything like u described, and I was flagged for open beta but when I go to my Master Account the beta info that u have there doesnt show up for me.

Anyway when I got home yesterday, the fileplanet version was getting the patchs running now, so is all cool waiting for tomorrow :P

According to a few sources the tech and closed beta client does NOT work for "open" beta so you need the file planet client. Tech and closed beta will continue to be run during the open beta on a different server cluster... and to be honest its almost a joke to call this an "open beta" all characters are capped at 13 and you pretty much have to pay file planet $7 for a key.

And just to throw out some recent conan info since you guys seem excited about it (be careful about the hype, the game does have issues)...

Interview with Lead Designer for Age of Conan

Says a week of actual playtime to reach 80. (in game time not real world time)

They expect rank 3 player cities (highest level guild cities) within a month of release to start competing for border kingdom resources.

Also claims they have tested 500 npcs in a zone at a time for siege battles. (100 visible)

minimum Windows of opportunity (how often you can actually attempt to take control of something in the border kingdom): resourses - 24 hours, outposts - 3 days, keeps - 7 days.

I got in yesterday at about 5:30 est and the game was pretty decent.

Played till 9, some of the zone were crazy laggy.

I got home at midnight and logged in again and the game was unplayable.

I created a new toon and did the newb beach quest and the game was fine. One i hit the city the lag was crazy.

Logged in this morning and it still seemed laggy.
